インド神話 ー ガネーシャ ー
象の頭を持つヒンドゥー教の神・ガネーシャは、
シヴァ神とパールヴァティ女神の息子です。
インドに伝わる有名な神話では、
パールヴァティが入浴中に自分を守らせるため、
白檀のペーストから
ガネーシャを創り出したと語られています。
やがてシヴァが帰宅すると、
家の入り口を塞ぐガネーシャと出会い、
激しい戦いの末に彼の首をはねてしまいました。
しかし、
すぐに自らの過ちに気づいたシヴァは、
ガネーシャを生き返らせると誓います。
従者たちに
「最初に出会った生き物の頭を持ってこい」
と命じ、その結果、
象の頭がガネーシャに据えられることになりました。
こうして甦ったガネーシャは、
シヴァから
「障害を取り除く神」
「叡智と新しい始まりの神」として祝福を授かったのです。
私はガネーシャのエネルギーを信じています。
それは姿や形そのものではなく、
「寛大さ」「力」「人生の試練に立ち向かう勇気」を
象徴しているからです。
超越的なエネルギーの
助けを受けながら困難を乗り越えていくとき、
やがて自分自身がその“力”となるのだと思います。

Indian Mythology - Ganesha
Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu god, is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. According to Indian popular legend, Parvati created Ganesha out of sandalwood paste to guard her while she bathed. When Shiva returned home and found Ganesha blocking his way, a fierce battle ensued, resulting in Shiva beheading Ganesha. Upon realizing his mistake, Shiva promised to bring Ganesha back to life. He sent his followers to find the head of the first living creature they encountered, which happened to be an elephant. With the elephant's head, Shiva resurrected Ganesha and blessed him to be the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom and new beginnings.
I believe in Ganesha’s energy because it is not about the form; it is about the generosity, capability, and capacity to face life's challenges and overcome them with the help of superpower energies till you become the superpower!
