Food
Till late I did not know and understand how important food is . I ate either because I was extremely hungry or I ate because it’s delicious . Undoubtedly I have my cravings . I enjoy wine , cheese chocolates , coffee and spicy food .
I am also aware it is not good for me as I am pitta ( Ayurvedic body type) in structure which means I am a very active person so spicy food and alcohol should be limited .
I am a lot more aware of what I eat ,how I eat when I eat ,and whom and under what environment I am eating .
The days I eat less I feel a lot better the next day .
I work a lot more efficiently and feel lighter and can move swiftly .
I don’t believe in starving and dieting .
I do believe in eating less and we are not required to eat three meals a day .
I will not have bread and rice for all every meal of mine .
Like we train our body we have to train our stomach to be empty and learn how it won’t get fed every time .
In Japan, there is a popular saying called "Hara Hachi Bu," which translates to "Eat until you are 80% full." This concept emphasizes the importance of not overeating and leaving some space in your stomach after a meal. It is believed to promote better digestion, prevent weight gain, and contribute to overall health and longevity. This practice aligns with the idea of finding balance and not overindulging in food.
